Operated by 654th Radar Sqn (1951-1967) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d1/654th_Radar_Squadron_-_Emblem.png using AN/CPS-6B radars, later replaced by AN/FPS-8 and AN/FPS-14.
The site was integrated in NAS Brunswick (1953-2010) which used to be home to a number of Navy-operated Orion maritime patrol aircraft. Before closing the base continued to operate as part of its closing procedures while the airport was operating publicly under the name Brunswick Executive Airport.
NAS Brunswick closed 2011, as per the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure committee decision.
