Šiauliai airbase is the military part of the international airport with the same name A former Soviet airbase has been converted in the mid 1950's to operate Myasishchev M-4 (NATO:Bison) nuclear longrange bombers. Former Soviet units based:
- 53 Fighter-Bomber Aviation Regiment (MiG-23 and 27)
-18 Guards Transport Aviation Division; 196 Transport Aviation Division (IL-76) and 117 Separate Aviation Berlin Order of Kutuzov ALC EW Group (An-12).]
- 67 Separate Aviation Sq DRLO unit # 32457(Tu-126, and later A-50).


AIR
