A multitude of aircraft shelters in the ops area at grid 46°1'43"N 12°35'57"E are known to be equipped with WS3 vaults for nuc weapon storage with a max of 72 standoff weapons. Completed in 1996 and are under 731 MUNitions Suppt Sq since 2001. Prior to that, all nuc weapons were stored in the special ammo storage at grid 46°1'32"N 12°35'39"E. (See: US Nuclear Weapons in Europe. A revision of post-Cold War policy, force levels and war planning. May 2012).
Currently the latest version of these nukes (B-61/12) is already operational however the numbers are unknown. Type 12 is still a "choose a yield" weapon but with an upgraded tail kit, improving its accuracy and giving it the capacity of gliding towards its target instead of using a dragchute.
