1942 - WW2 depot airfield
1948 - Reassigned Griffiss AFB under Air Defense Comand. ADC interceptor units were stationed there for the next 30 years as Griffiss became a center for the Northeast air defense mission and was headquarters of the Northeast Air Defense Sector.
1959 - SAC B-52 wing operations until 1992
1993 - BRAC realignment & closure
1995 - deactivation/closure and converted into civil airpt/Industrial park
