RX part of the Modernised High Frequency Communications System (MHFCS) operating in the Riverina area.
The HF transmitter consists of a main circular antenna array made up of 2 concentric rings of masts, with 10 smaller antennas outside the circles. The outer ring is 500 m. in diameter, with 18 pairs of masts. The inner ring is 365 m. in diameter, and is made up of 20 single masts.
The MHFCS nationwide network is made up of 4 remotely-operated transmitter and receiver stations that are controlled in Canberra.
The Riverina transmitter station and a management facility are located at this site, while the receivingl site is near Morundah.
