Former RAF Hawkinge. Constructed 1916 during WW1, also used in the interbellum and as a fighterbase during the battle of Britain in WW2. After the war, the station hosted the Home Command Gliding Centre (Air Cadets). The site has been largely built over, but part is occupied by the Kent Battle of Britain Museum.
