4313'0"N 7524'20"W Rome, New York, Eastern Air Defense Sector (EADS) is responsible to the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and the Continental NORAD Region for peacetime air sovereignty, strategic air defense and airborne counter-drug operations in the continental US.

EADS is a New York ANG unit under command of and reporting directly to First Air Force (Air Forces Northern) at Tyndall airbase, Florida. The sector reports to Air Combat Command (ACC) and to NORAD Hq, in Colorado Springs. SOCC employs 27 NORAD contingency suites and 31 Battle Control System-Fixed (BCS-F) displays

- Sector Operations Control Center / Eastern Air Defense Sector (SOCC/EADS) as part of the Joint Surveillance System (JSS) at former Griffiss airbase, Rome, Nw York. SOCC/EADS is under Air Combat Cmd jurisdiction.
