Belleville, Illinos, Scott airbase 3832'35"N 8952'4"W is a global mobility and transportation hub for the DoD.and hosting one of the Unified Combatant Commands each with a geographic or functional mission providing command and control of military forces under all circumstances in peace and at war:

Hq US Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) coordinates missions worldwide using both military and commercial transportation resources. It is a 4 star Air Force general command composed of 4 service component commands: The Air Force's Air Mobility Command, the Navy's Military Sealift Command the Army's Surface Deployment and Distribution Command and the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command,

- Hq 18 Air Force charged with carrying out AMC's mission

- 618th Air Support Operation Center (Tanker Airlift Control Center), Tasking: plans, schedules and directs airlift, air-refueling and aeromedical evacuation operations worldwide

- Air Force Network Integration Center (under Air Combat Cmd).

-- 375 Air Mobility Wing (host wing) operating C-21 aircraft integrated with (ANG) 126 Air Refuelling Wing flying KC-135 and (AFRES) 932 AIrlift Wing flying C-40

- Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) A DoD angency providing information technology (IT) and comms support to all US military services
