Former Soviet Kolobrzeg airbase hosted 871 IAP under 37VA (later 4VA) command operating MiG-23M Floggers (1973-1991)
Declassified docs revealed that the Soviet forces in Poland had an average of 160 nuclear weapons at their disposal; mostly freefall bombs of the 8U49 (5KT) and 8U64 (30KT) types. The 'specials' were dispersed at three Soviet airbases: Brzeg,Stargard and Kolobrzeg,
