Former Soviet Brzeg - Skarbimierz airbase operated MiG-25 RBs. These were dual capable Foxbats with (R)ecce as a primary task. However they also had a secondary (B)ombing task using tactical nuclear weapons at high speed and high altitude.
Declassified docs revealed that the Soviet forces in Poland had an average of 160 nuclear weapons at their disposal; mostly freefall bombs of the 8U49 (5KT) and 8U64 (30KT) types. The 'specials' were dispersed at three Soviet airbases: Brzeg,Stargard and Kolobrzeg,
The aircraft shelters in the row at these coordinates were all equipped with nuclear vaults. Each shelter contained 2x 8U64 tactical nuc. freefall bombs.

After Russian departure in the 1990's the base was being rebuild into an industrial park.
