9. NIKE Robins area

The Robins Air Defense area was established when USAF Strategic Air Command based B-52 Stratofortress intercontinental bombers at Robins AFB.
2 Nike-Hercules batteries provided air defense and were manned by Regular Army units.

1. R-88 Byron. IFC at 32° 40′ 28″ N, 83° 45′ 55″ W, LA at 32° 40′ 20″ N, 83° 47′ 9″ W
2. R-28 Jeffersonville. IFC at 32° 37′ 29″ N, 83° 21′ 53″ W (overbuilt), LA at 32° 37′ 42″ N, 83° 21′ 5″ W (no remains)
