(IRIN) Bandar Abbas

Bandar Abbas is Irans main naval base and peacetime location of the Iranean surface and submarine fleet.
However the (Kilo class) submarines may also be deployed at Chahbahar.
The Iranean naval strength is estimated at:
- 3 Kilo submarines,
- 3 frigates,
- 2 corvettes,
- 10 missile patrol craft,
- 5 mine warfare ships,
- 52 coastal and inshore patrol craft
- 10 amphibious ships.
