Zhanjiang or Xiashan

Zhanjiang or Xiashan; home of the 1st Marine Infantry Brigade which is part of the Chinese South Sea Fleet.
1 MIB is consisting of appx 8000 personnel in:
- 1 Armored Regt (2 x Batns w/Type 63 amphibious light tanks),
- 3 Mech Inf Batns w/Type 86 IFV and Type 63/89 APC (both amphibious),
- 1 Marine (Assault) Inf Batn. (1000 personnel),
- 1 Spec Ops Batn;
- 1 Missile Batn (HJ-8 & HJ-73 ATGM's and HN-5 SAM's),
- 1 Mixed Engineer and Chemical Batn;
- 1 Comms and EW Batn.
