3844'29"N 10451'7"W The Cheyenne Mountain Complex / Cheyenne Mountain Air Station is part of NORAD http://www.norad.mil/

Historical:
Former location of Strategic Air Command - NORAD Combat Operations Center, later reassigned Cheyenne Mountain Operations Center (CMOC).
After multiple technical and operational improvements the Command Center within Cheyenne Mountain Complex has been redesignated in 2008 NORAD and USNORTHCOM Alternate Command Center.
During the Cold War it had an average 1500-1800 military crew keeping the installation ops and running.

Currently
A skeleton crew is remaining and keeping the installation in operational status to be used for operational crew training as the actual daily NORAD and NORTHCOM ops currently take place at Peterson airbase.
The Cheyenne Mtn Complex may however be fully ops at very short notice in case of emergencies.
