USMC Camp Lejeune is a marines training facility in North Carolina and a major area for amphibious assault training and its location between two deep-water ports (Wilmington and Morehead City) allows for fast deployments. The main base is supplemented by by 6 satellite facilities. Units based:

- HQ Marine Corps Force SpecOps Command (MARSOC) Established 2006, based at Camp Le Jeune and tasked to train, sustain and deploy scalable, expeditionary forces worldwide to accomplish special operations.
