- Hq USN Military Sealift Command (MSC) controls the replenishment and military transport ships of the Navy. Military Sealift Command has the responsibility for providing sealift and ocean transportation for all US military services as well as for other government agencies. MSC was established 1970 and is USTRANSCOMs naval component and consists of appx 120 ships and 9.200 personnel (80% civilian).

MSC consists of:
- Fleet Oiler Program or Naval Fleet Auxiliary Force (NFAF); Special Mission Program; Strategic Sealift Program; Tow, Salvage, Tender and Hospital Ship Program; Sealift Program; Combat Logistics Force Program; Expeditionary Mobile Base, Amphibious Command Ship and Cable Layer Program and Expeditionary Fast Transport Program
