48°46'50"N 4°11'12"E Chalons Vatry. Construction in 1953 with a max capacity for 50 fighters and 3 large hangars. In 1955 taken over by USAF 48th Air Base Group becoming 48th Fighter-Bomber Wing. As France left NATO under pres de Gaulle USAF moved to W-Germany and the UK and the airfield was transferred to the French.
Currently the airfield is private property and an international freight hub with very few remains of the USAF era.
