Grid 2529'24.36"N 8023'46.52"W Homestead Air Reserve Base Activated 1942; in the 1950s upgraded for continental defense and in 1955 upgraded to a group level facility to accommodate 2nd Strategic Air Command (SAC) Boeing B-47 Stratojet jet and later B-52 wing (19th and 379th Bomb Wing 1955-1970). Reassigned Homestead Air Reserve Base and currently basing:

- AF Reserve Cmd / 482 FIghter Wing (host) flying F-16C's ready to supply aircraft and crews for short-notice deployment with
- Air Combat Cmd / 495 Fighter Grp / 367th Fighter Sq
- Special Operations Cmd South provides primary theater contingency response force and plans, prepares for and conducts specops in support of USSOUTHCOM. USSOCSOUTH controls all Special Operations Forces in the region
