Sembawang military airfield ICAO: WSAG.
History:
Until 1971 former RAF Sembawang was home of British, Australian and New Zealand forces; then the airfield was handed over to Singapore Airdefence Command. In 1983, the airfield became a full fledged rotary-wing base when 120 (helicopter) Squadron- was permanently relocated at Sembawang.

Present:
Currently appx. 100 helicopters are based at Sembawang Airfield. Almost all are operating in support of the Singapore Army and Navy. It is also homebase for all Singapore Air Force helicopter squadrons, operating AH-64D Longbow Apache; AS-332 Super Puma; CH-47SD Chinook; Sikorsky S-70B (derivative of Sikorsky SH-60 Seahawk) naval helicopters; as well as the Fennec and UH-1H, which are currently stored in reserve.
