22°52'35"S 43°23'6"W BASE AÉREA DOS AFONSOS - Campo dos Afonsos - Rio de Janeiro
In the new BAF structure the Dos Afonsos base will be a reserve and Forward Operating Base without permanently based flying squadrons.
The base will be subordinated directly to the Command of Preparation.

- 5th Air Division
- 3rd Sqn / 8th Grp "Puma" with CH-34, VH-34, L-42
- Security Forces Batn
- Avionics Instruction Center
- 1st Sqn / 1st Comms & Warning Grp
