Civil: Borg El Arab Airport (IATA: HBE, ICAO: HEBA) future main airport of Alexandria. Medio 2010 all airtraffic traffic is transferred from Alexandria International Airport (currently Alexandria's busiest airport) which will be closed to commercial flight ops.
Military: Part of the airport is an airbase with hardened facilities; hosting a helicopter wing. Al Quwwat Al Jawwiya Il Misriya – Egyptian Air Force
