JBAB is placed under USN jurisdiction and its based and tenant units are used for ceremonial activities (USAF Honor Guard, USAF Band, USAF Chaplains, Navy Ceremonial Guard), JBAB units also provide ceremonial support to the White House, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Secretary of the Air Force, and the Air Force Chief of Staff.
