Former Luneville - Chenevieres airfield.
Abandoned military airfield; constructed in the early 1950's as a USAF Dispersed Operating Base designed for a squadron fighters.
No flying unit was ever permanently assigned and it was used for dispersal training only,
The base was handed over to French authorities in 1966 as France left NATO and under French army control the facility was renamed Quartier La Salle and has been used for equipment storage.
Current status: planned to be converted into a racetrack but date unknown
Second nearby airfield Luneville - Croismare is ar grid 48°35'33"N 6°32'49"E also constructed in the early 1950's as a RCAF dispersed airfield.
Never used by RCAF but by the French airforce with T-33 and Thunderjet (1952-1970)
Currently a civiilian airport
