Former RAF Anthorn, now Anthorn radio http://www.npl.co.uk/msf-signal is located near Anthorn, Cumbria, and currently operated by Babcock International.
The characteristic triangular road pattern is a remnant from the WW2 RAF airfield with the same name.
The station uses GBZ as callsign and has 3 transmitters: a VLF; a LF; and an eLORAN transmitter providing the MSF standard time signal.
The VLF signal however is being used to communicate with submerged subarines.
