SIGINT Miyakojima

Miyakojima airbase, SW Area, Okinawa. SIGnal INTelligence facility, formally known as J/FLR-4A. Located within the Miyakojima Sub Base of Japan's Air Self-Defense Force. This is a high-tech equipment which is capable of catching a wide variety of electronic signals emitted from and to aircraft. This station also hosts the new fixed FPS-5 radar facility which is part of the new Japanese ballistic missile defense system.
