Swordfish. An Indian longrange tracking radar developed to counter ballistic missile threat.
IAF operated its a part of India's ballistic missile program; primary testing of this radar was in march 2009; main testelement was validating the capabilities of the Swordfish Long Range Tracking Radar (LRTR).
The target missile was fired from a longer distance than it was in an earlier test so the system was a success.

Swordfish http://lh5.googleusercontent.com/--iccMqKcSek/TYV8L-JcYYI/AAAAAAAAB5c/IFpxa7HoquI/s1600/Indian_Sword_Fish_Radar_System.gif is an acknowledged derivative of the Israeli Green Pine long range radar, a critical component of that country's Arrow missile defence system. However, it differs from the Israeli system as it employs Indian TX and RX modules, signal processing, computers and power supplies. It is also more powerful than the base Green Pine system and was developed to meet India's specific BMD needs.
