This brigade supervises the Army’s Royal Engineer capability and is built upon Specialist Groups responsible for a spectrum of capabilities including military engineering, EOD & Search, ammunition technical support, military working dogs and counter-CBRN.
These groups are:all under 8 Engineer Brigade command:
- 12 Support Engineer Group (Wittering); - 25 Close Support Engineer Group (Bulford); - 29 EOD & Search Group (Aldershot); - 170 Infrastructure Engineer Group (Chilwelll) .
