Halwara airbase, ICAO: VIHX is a fighterbase under Wester AIr Command
Currently based unit
- 220 Squadron flying Sukhoi Su-30MKI. http://www.combataircraft.com/en/Military-Aircraft/Sukhoi/Su-30-Flanker/
In the past the base housed squadrons of MIG 23 BN for three decades until March 2009 when they were phased out being replaced by the Su-30's.
There is a secured shelter at grid 30°44'31"N 75°37'43"E
