The troops cannot be compared with a regular military army. The fighters migrated from different countries and have diverse reasons to join the camps. Their clothing is not a standardised uniform. They are instructed in the use and supply of explosives and weapons, and drilled for assaults and guerrilla war by veterans from the wars in Afghanistan or southern Sudan.
