Slots in the cell doors serve to place handcuffs and shackles on prisoners†before opening the door. Cells do not provide any kind of noise or sight partition. Only the outermost cells offer protection against the sun with a curtain. Next to every matress, an arrow has been painted with Makkah 12793 written just below.
To be able to build such quarters, the cells had to be delivered as container modules carrying components for the exterior walls and the roofs.
